Judith Nolfo is a 1992 graduate of Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York. She was admitted to practice in New York in 1993. Judy has extensive experience both in the private and public legal sectors. In 2000, the Nolfo McKenna Law office was opened in Albany. With her accounting background, Judy was drawn to the practice area of Estate Planning and Elder Law. The office focuses on meeting every individual and family, and custom drafting of each document. In the initial consultation, clients discuss their wishes for their future and their family’s future.
Judy is very active in the legal community, and is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law section, and serves as the Vice Chair of the Veterans Committee, and as a member of the Mediation Committee, Estates Trusts and Taxation Committee, and the Elder Abuse Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law and Special Needs Section. She is also a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and the Trusts and Estates Section, as well as a member of the NYSBA Committee on Veterans. She lectures at various legal forums throughout the state, and is involved with many Pro Bono legal events in New York, including Pro Bono Legal Clinics for Veterans, Senior Citizens and individuals with special needs. Judy is also a member of the Albany and Ulster County Bar Associations.
Judy volunteers as a Mediator at Mediation Matters in Albany, and was the community legal partner for Albany Law School’s Anti-Human Trafficking project. Judy is also involved with and supports Peppertree Rescue, a local rescue organization that rescues dogs from shelters, fosters animals and arranges adoptions. Because of Peppertree, Layla, a Lab/Beagle mix with a heart of gold, found Judy, her forever friend. Judy is also committed to assist our area veterans and is accredited as a VA attorney for veterans legal issues.
